We were cool with Dan Mullen dressing like darth Vader in a post game presser when we were a top 5 team but the following season we were a 5-6 loss team and he was dancing. In the locker room after beating FCs Samford 72-50 and we were pissed

I gotta tell you even as a rival fan I was outraged at the shitty job Mullen did at Florida. His recruiting was so inconsistent and inexcusable! I was pissy towards that lil leprechaun bastard, and again, I’m not even a Gator guy. That Mullen bastard did a lazy job, kind of reminds me of this damn Brian Kelly we just had to fire (lazy fricker).

Very similar tenures
Kelly was 34-14 when you fired him
Mullen was 34-15 at UF
Both made Atlanta once and lost
Mullen won 2 ny6 bowls but bk coached a Heisman winner
Neither recruited worth a shot so we had teams with elite offenses and historically bad defenses at times (2020 Florida, 2023 lsu)
Both started strong but mailed it in the final year or so and got fired

Wow you’re absolutely right, I’d forgotten about that Northeast similarity too. Yeah I find both condescending and arrogant. Some may defend Mullen in that regard, but not me; I noticed an arrogance about him.
