Program was trending in a bad direction. I have financial concerns about the fire. We have pressing financial needs that need to be addressed. I trust those are being addressed at the same time as this.
From a vacuum standpoint, a departure is good for both sides. Skip Holtz seems to be a great guy and he is a good football coach and a great recruiter. However things have just gotten stale. If Tech wants to take the next step up (from bowl wins every season to conference championship contention every season) Skip isn’t the guy for that.

We just announced a $15 million stadium upgrade, so there is money to be had if we can generate some excitement. The last two seasons did the exact opposite.
