There has been no decision yet. Brick is 50/50 at this point. Shoop could pull ahead with a good interview. Nobody is 100% on who it will be. All the speculation is just BS at this point

The hyperbole in both directions around here is nuts. If Shoop had those rankings over a 3 year period at Vandy, well, that's pretty damn solid. And his year at PSU only bolsters that assumption.
However, all the numbers really tells us is that he isn't a downgrade. He is definitely SEC/Power 5 caliber. We don't instantly know if he would be better, though. Objectively, there is absolutely no way to know that. However, for the A&M trolls, his numbers are solid enough that he can't be dismissed out of hand, either. It is certainly possible that, with the right scheme, he could do better here than Chavis.
If he comes to LSU, we'll know what we need to know at the end of next year. My answer isn't any fun for the trolls, but it's a hell of a lot more accurate. All of the firing away back and forth right now is a waste of time.

what im thinking...
Any hire right now makes me nervous. simple fact is Les has leaned on chavis for the win the last 5 years...sometimes its worked sometimes it hasnt, but i credit most of our wins to chavis because our Defense has been our staple, it has kept the score close whether our offense has been good or not (mostly not), not the dip shite with the hat that cant figure out a QB has to be able to throw a ball.
