What the hell is up with that? I understand you have to take the job when it comes if you want to go and all, but leaving your team before a BCS game? I just don't understand that.

It is the right thing to do. His employer is now UM and that should be his focus.

Well, he is not coaching the UM bowl game. Biggest game of the year and RR coaches the team to a loss to a terrible Pitt team, then he leaves before WVU has a chance to redeem themselves by beating OU in the Fiesta Bowl.

I'll bet Bobby Stoops is licking his chops right now.

Pitt wasn't that bad, obviously. A lot like Ole Miss last year...they get up for the 1 game because it's their bowl game.

HOw's Michigan going to have two coaches. Carr is coaching the team through the bowl game.

WVU blew that game. Winning a game doesn't make your team any good. Stanford was what, 3-9 this year? Beating USC doesn't make them good. WVU played down to Pitt and they lost. They beat a decent UConn team by 327584759842 pts the week before, and they can't get up for Pitt and put more than 9 pts on the board? BS.

Yep, and Uconn was overrated. Pitt had a good game plan, especially on defense. We just got lucky and got our hubris a week earlier...sux to have to actually go PLAY the game sometimes. Could be the players were 'down' because they knew something was up, also. Who knows?

Is it official because at the presser he said that it was not something he'd yet had a chance to discuss with UWV. I get the impression that all of this, the interview, the negotiations, and the departure, all happened without UWV or their AD being in the loop at all... UM just basically pulled the rug out from under WV and stole RR... funny how it's not a big deal though because it'll "reshape the big 10".... blow me sports analysts... this is just as bad as Petrino IMO because the guy left his alma-mader just as he had them contending for a NC and did it without getting any permission to speak to outside schools
