“If I had to guess, at the top of his list would be LSU," Mettenberger’s father Bernie said last week in a Shreveport Times newspaper article before his visit. “That’s from my conversations with Zach. He's never been down there to LSU, but his favorite show is ‘Swamp People.' And he’s got a real close relationship with Les Miles.”

Hey belowpar,

Can you explain why there was a plane with blue and maze Michigan painted across the side parked at the Baton Rouge Airport the week of the Alabama game? Recruiting trip or to talk to Les? Or something else entirely? I seriously doubt they would come to talk to Miles and basically leave a billboard parked at the airport announcing that they were in town. Just trying to figure out what "they" were in town for. Any details you could give would be great.

Thanks!

The only thing that I have is word from a friend that works at the airport. And like I said, I find it hard to believe that if UM came here to talk to Les that they would show up in a "traveling billboard". I think it was probably for a recruiting trip -- for a player I mean. That seems like a more likely scenario where UM wouldn't have a problem announcing that they were in town.

[quote]It's gonna be insane money for a 57 year old coach. Les thinks he has pressure now. Wait till he gets to Michigan and starts from scratch with spread offense personnel running the power I.[/quote

Why would Miles at 57 with a contract that runs thru 2014 leave LSU for any school.Miles is not going anywhere and Crowton and "Stud the Dud" will be replaced after the bowl game.LSU will get a new OC & OL coach and return to an elite status in football.

dude, maybe you should learn to read. I never said he was leaving. I even said I doubt the reason UM was here was to talk to Miles

By the way, has any team committed to running your patented 6-0-5 nickel bump and run defense?
