Great insight. The real question is, how many of these coaches were actually hired to rebuild a program and given the time to develop a championship team?
We don’t live in that world anymore. Results are expected immediately. Elite programs can’t afford to let a coach “learn on the job” for a few seasons. If success doesn’t come right away, you risk losing transfers, NIL funding drops, and the entire program can quickly fall behind.
