I feel the need to own it a lot lately. I've gotten in the habit of fun net tick lee spelling names and then usually clean it up. But, at times, I get distracted and HEY LETS GO RIDE BIKES!

My point is, in your scenario players are just bouncing out looking for a bigger bag, in Lane’s he has no control over the timeline and openings at other schools.

I agree with most everything you said, but my actual point addressed loyalty to the school. If it ever existed, its dead. And the revolving door didn't start with players. It has become the real world where people change jobs/careers with loyalty to their family income, not the workplace.

So why are players assumed to be "looking for a bag" when making a career decision, but in Lane's case its "opportunities like this don’t come around that often"?

As far as Ole Miss ls concerned in this case, what would suck more as a loyal Rebel fan going into the playoffs, losing Kiffin or losing an élite player like Chambliss? I am tempted to say Chambliss, but as you stated, he at least has a back-up. Who has been practicing at head coaching, game planning, and play calling to back up Kiffin?
