Jim Harbaugh, Michigan – $9.004 million

Nick Saban, Alabama – $6.94 million

Urban Meyer, Ohio State – $6.095 million

Bob Stoops, Oklahoma – $5.55 million

Jimbo Fisher, Florida State – $5.25 million

Charlie Strong, Texas – $5.2 million

Kevin Sumlin, Texas A&M – $5 million

Gus Malzahn, Auburn – $4.73 million

Hugh Freeze, Ole Miss – $4.704 million

James Franklin, Penn State – $4.5 million

I'm willing to bet right now that both Herman and Fisher have offers of at least $6.2 million. LSU cant afford not to pay inside the top 3 in the nation with this hire. There would be little financial incentive for Jimbo if LSU doesn't bump Jimbo above Meyers $6 million. There are people on the board that have zero clue of the economics involved here.

How high could LSU go for Herman or Jimbo? I think anything within the ballpark of Saban isn't out of the question here. I'm not saying $7 million but I'm saying this could get in the $6.5 million -$6.75 million range. I believe LSU offers the same contract initially in that $6.2 million range to both Herman and Jimbo. You don't want one catching wind of the others contract so you set them equal imo.

People saying throw 7+ million at Herman are just acting on emotions. He doesnt deserve that.

Throw 6.5 at Jimbo. 5.5 at Herman.

No, you don't insult either of them. We believe both these guys are on par and we ain't being cheap. Let Herman walk away from $6.2 million or a final offer of $6.5 million. The same with Jimbo. One of them is gonna bite or we are the unluckiest program in America.

Dam Nick Saban needs a big time raise. He needs to be at 9.5 million. No way anyone should be getting more than him. It's time for LSU to throw 9.5 million to Saban. Make Alabama match it.

Shows you how cheap Alabama is getting Nick Saban.

This is the market. 9 million is what we would pay a Gruden or some high profile coach that ain't coming here. It's basically unicorn money

Not when Texas comes in at $6 million for Herman. If Alleva and TAF really covet Herman you MAKE him think really hard. I believe our initial contract would top Texas because they have a fat $5.5 million contract for Strong. Why would Alleva give his enemies at LSU enough rope to hang him? Go big for both!

I still can't believe Nick is ok with being that low of pay. He really should have in his contract clause anytime someone gets more than him he automatically gets a raise for more than anyone else.

Agree, that would piss me off so you know Saban isn't okay with it.

It's not that Nick is coming cheap, it's that Michigan is apparently paying Harbaugh retarded money.
