All these upstart teams like Boise St., TCU, Utah and Cincinatti should take a page from the Bowden way of building a program and take on all comers. Bowden was notorious for scheduling tough teams on the road. I think he went to Nebraska and LSU among others without asking for them to return the favor and come to FSU for a game. He knew in order to gain respect he had to do that and it worked out great. Within a couple of years he had FSU on the map and was getting home and aways from then on.

Hush your mouth, the great Bear Bryant did not die, he was taken up too heaven on the arms of angles.

Just ask most Bama fans.

I recall a remark Elton John made about knowing when it is time to leave the stage. Unfortunately, many of us don't recognize when it is time for us to leave the stage. It is always a good idea to leave while the crowd is still wanting more of you. Bowden has had a good run, and while things are not ending on the note he wanted, when one looks back on his overall body of work, his career will still be one of distinguishment. However, it will take awhile for him to gain that perspective.

Yeah, I think he would be neat with ESPN in a year or so.

I hope he becomes an analyst because he's hilarious.

I agree. I am not a FSU fan but I love Bobby. He would be a great side kick on the Game Day Crew !
