O could very easily be telling the recruits who the new DC and PGC is without telling anyone else so he is allowed the recruiting advantages. Why is this so hard to comprehend? They pulled in a WR and a RB over the weekend so whatever he is telling them on the PGC front is apparently working.

Or maybe lsu was getting those recruits anyway. Both of the recent commits LSU was talking to a month ago.
