It's not about the amount of time, it's the people we have making the decisions. LSU has a history of, generally, not having great ADs - Skipper Heard and Jim Corbett were pretty good - since then? Not so much. Skip was good. Brodhead was "okay" but he fought with the boosters too much - they didn't make it easy for him, but I give him an overall passing grade.
But, for 22 of the past 30 years, either Joe Dean or Joe Alleva have been LSU's athletic director.
