I've listened to him a lot on various podcasts (Sam Harriss and Tim Ferriss), so I was familiar with his line of thinking. This book is pretty important, imo. It doesn't provide as many answers as I'd like, but it definitely raises some big questions about our past, present, and future.

I really respect Harari's thinking and ability to take a detached, objective 2,000 foot view of our society and species (meditating for 2 hours a day undoubtedly helps). I also like that, while he undoubtedly has his (leftist) political biases, he has no problem shining a spotlight on areas where modern liberalism is leading folks astray or going in the wrong direction.

I recently finished his book "Sapiens" and am reading Homo Deus. Sapiens was a great great book, highly recommend.
