Starting a new book after finishing a great one

Anyone else have a hard time starting/getting into a new book after finishing a book that really moved you? I finished All the Light We Cannot See a few weeks ago, and can't get the book out of my head enough to start something else. It has happened a few other times for me. Last time it happened it took over a month for me to get in the right head space to get into a new one.

I combat that by having a big list of need to read books that I am excited about. My problem usually is picking which books / series to start next

This happened to me recently. I am jumping around between 3 different series. While waiting for a buddy to finish the last 2 Dresden books, I started the First Law series I really struggled to get through the first one. Not at all because of the book, but my interest. By the time I got to the second book I was all in.

This is exactly what happens to me absolutely every time when I really liked the book that I read, especially when it comes to the book that I have been reading for a long time. I am a writer myself and I know how difficult it is to write a text so that it would be really exciting and very interesting. In order to make the text really cool, I use this service: LINK / it helps a little to make it easier. Because it is really difficult to convey the full range of emotions through text. But when I read something like that, it's hard for me to come off. in such situations, you literally live the whole plot with the main characters and become attached to them. I think this makes it so difficult to immediately switch to another book. It's always like this with me, if I can't literally tear myself away from the book, then it's hard for me to switch.

Perhaps if it’s a different author or genre
