I’m on the 3rd book and loving it.
In short: an 8 mile radius of West Virginia (all the people, houses, books, supplies, cars, etc) gets transplanted into 1632 Europe.

The “up timers” have modern amenities, but struggle to re-form the “United States” amidst people of 1632. Characters are fabulous.

Religion, politics, social aspects, tech and mechanical hurdles, war (historically correct battles with modern day additions) are all so much fun to read about.

I'm a good bit into the first book and it seems like a ton of: "Let's go back in time and fall in love with the women there." Does it get more into the history/mechanics of survival rather than focusing on marrying these characters off to random 1630's women?
