Picked up The Fork, the Witch, and the Worm today

Honestly not that impressed. The story felt very choppy, with an inordinate amount of time spent on characters I didn’t find myself caring about.
I know Paolini isn’t Tolkien or Martin when it comes to prose or plot, but I would have still called his works entertaining and a few characters interesting. This.....felt rather lacking on both of those fronts.
I suppose if its main job was to reignite interest prior to a new series being announced it did that, but I really wouldn’t recommend going out of your way.

It was a little disjointed, but it was a cool we to re-visit the world. Not sure what his follow up plans are, but this seemed like a teaser to something more
