Currently reading Chernow's latest biography and I must say it's really freaking good. If you're looking for a biography of a seemingly ordinary man propelled to greatness by extraordinary events, this one is for you.

It's on my list, as well as Grant's Memoirs.

He was one of our worst presidents. Sounds like the author is trying to rewrite history.

Currently reading American Ulysses by Ronald White. It’s very good so far and found it hard to put down reading about his civil war campaigns. Reconstruction and the beginning of his Presidency right now. Not as good however. Next pet is his Indian policies. Looking forward to that.

Plan to read Grant but will give it a year or so.

Just read Such troops as these about Stonewall. Very good read and amazing what could have been had he been given a go on his plans for defeating the Union Army in VA.
