Founding Fathers' account of Revolution

Curious as to if any of the founding fathers wrote a history covering the revolution, or if not them, if another major US figure wrote one.
I know for example Teddy Roosevelt wrote a book covering the naval aspects of the war of 1812 and in a non american example, churchill wrote several books covering Englands history. Just wondering if there is an example of this for the revolutionary war.
