It's a matter of preference. I could never get used to reading on a Kindle. Can't dog ear a page, can't feel the remaining pages getting thinner....
Plus paperbacks at a used book store are cheaper than e-books.

Wondering what others think.
The vast majority of price is not the paper it is or isn't printed on.
I mean for a paperback book you would save cents, not even a dollar for a mass produced book.

quote:Library books even cheaper (free) and they they don't pile up in the corner after you're finished. For years we collected books. When we ran out of book shelves, we got more shelves. We thought we might want to read them again (maybe?). Years went by, we didn't read them again. Some got musty smelling. Took up space in our house. Collectively weighed a ton. At moving times, added cost to the trucks.

We decided to divest ourselves of most of them. Sold what we could at garage sales (let people pay us to haul our unwanted stuff away). Didn't make much, but old books on shelves aren't earning penny one anyway, so...
Also sold what we could at used book stores. See above.
Dragged the unsold volumes in boxes to Goodwill and let them sort it all out. Got small tax deduction. It's great to be free from under all those books. We kept only the ones we really, really wanted.
Mostly use library now, or buy used books and then give them back to Goodwill. Or we buy ebooks if we can't get copies at the library. They don't take up space.

See if your local library is linked up with Overdrive and you can get them all for free
