I have found several that look promising but wondering if someone has something they recommend.
I’m not looking for an in depth look at this point.

You read enough Larry McMurtry ( Lonesome Dove, Berrybender series) or The Son etc and you can’t help but get interested.

Looks like a great book on the Comanches.

For right now I’m wanting an overview of all North American tribes.

Thanks!

I think you are approaching this from the wrong angle. The NA tribes were more like small countries. You will need to read many different accounts to get a feel. You can start with the Lewis and Clark diaries for an overview of the west. Learning about the Jamestown settlement will give insight to eastern bands. Some of the issues with early NA accounts is deeply biased towards the writers opinion, which is European.

Even for just a 2-4 page summary of each tribe/nation?

I’m too old to read a book about each of the over 500 tribes. Haha!

For what I’m looking for think of a 300 page book on the Generals of WWII as opposed to a book about each general.
