Just read this trilogy, and while it has highs and lows, I did enjoy most of it. Really enjoyed the mystery/supernatural/cosmic feel to it.

Anyone else on the board read it, and if so have any recommendations for something similar?

I loved the first and third books in the Area X trilogy.

Check out Vandermeer's new book, Borne. It's set in a similarly mysterious and messed up environment.

Just started Annihilation a couple days ago. I can definitely see how Alex Garland is taking on the film adaptation now.

Just finished Annihalation.

Really liked it. Had a very At the Mountains of Madness feel to it.

Yes, yes it did. I enjoyed the shite out of it.

However, I'm struggling through Authority...is book three worth the effort?
