We listened to the 10th anniversary full cast of this book via Books On Audio. If you are trying to watch the series on Starz I highly recommend you go listen or read the book as it so much better than the series.

I love the book. I love gaiman, in general.
Need to watch the last 2 episodes. I like the show. I love the casting, but the book was so much more fun.

If you enjoyed AG you should read Anansi Boys

It's outstanding. I listen to a lot of audio books and this might be the best done of them all.

I just finished Anansi Boys again. It's OK, but it pretty much follows the same formula that Gaiman uses in most of his books. American Gods breaks out of that pattern and is a much more adult book. And is much better for it. Not a rip on Gaiman exactly - he's a very talented writer and I like his books. But I wish he'd push himself a little harder when he comes up with the plots.

I never read that one a second time. Don't know why. Ended up having to buy a new american gods because mine fell apart from reading it over and over.

I actually read them in reverse order. Our local library had Anansi Boys so I read that. Then just recently I found out the other branch of the library had American Gods so I had them send it over.
I think Anansi Boys is a good fun read. But American Gods is well beyond it. AG is really a great book.
