When Travis Kelce played college football at the University of Cincinnati, he played in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans in 2010 against Tim Tebow and the Florida Gators. That's where he partied too hard in New Orleans, ultimately failing a drug test and landing on the suspended list...

“I got kicked out of college because of (that incident),” Kelce said during an appearance on the “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast in July 2023. “I partied a little too much down there, got hit with a drug test and from that point on, I realized I’ve got to tighten the (expletive) up.

He added: “What it did was it really kicked me into the tight end room. I was still playing QB then. It was like, 'All right, you can come walk on the team, but we don't need a quarterback. You can just be an athlete on scout team for a year; we'll figure it out.’”
