Jets QB Tim Tebow and Atlanta Braves legend Chipper Jones are going into business together to launch their own fitness facility as part of the DI Sports chain. DI strives to give young people access to the same training facilities and regimens that Division I athletes have. Their site will be in Orlando and will include an indoor turf field, state-of-the-art weight room and a sports medicine clinic run by Orlando Orthopaedic Center, which is also an owner according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The funny thing is the two athletes have never met.
quote:

“I haven’t met Tim. I hope to in the very near future,” Jones said. “He’s probably the most recognizable figure in America right now. We’re from the same area in Jacksonville. I know he comes from a good family.

“His faith is as strong as anybody you’ll ever meet. And I don’t even know him, you know? So that’s my impression of him from afar. That being said, I’m a long-time loyal Gator, and he can do no wrong in my eyes.”
