NFL & NFLPA Had Secret Meeting Wednesday
by Larry Leo
June 2, 20110 Comments
It's officially day 80 of the lockout. But yesterday in Chicago, Commissioner Goodell, NFLPA leader DeMaurice Smith and other players and owners met secretly and worked late into the night to hash out a deal. Everyone has to be in St. Louis on Friday in front of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, which makes sense for a Chicago meeting. The meeting was so hush-hush some players and owners didn't even know it happened, along with zero lawyers present.
I think these guys really want to have a season and end this mess. But sooner or later one side is going to have to put their ego aside, but what side will that be?
