The Carolina Panthers have agreed to a new contract extension with quarterback Cam Newton that will make him very rich man.

Newton's deal is worth $103.8 million in total money, with $67.6 million of that contract being fully guaranteed in the first three years of the deal, according to CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora:

"What a waste of money" Obviously someone with that amount of money to spend didn't agree with you, a person who doesn't have that amount of money to spend. I would think they are better investors of money than you. And you might want to compare Cam's career with whomever you feel wouldn't be a waste of money.

Cam Newton, Tony Romo, Ryan Tanneyhill, Alex Smith. You can go on and on about starting QB's....like Madden said not long ago, once upon a time you had to be good to play in the NFL. These guys aren't taught to read secondaries anymore but rather the DE. Tom Brady, Peyton, Joe Montana, Marino. Those that read the secondary are a dying breed.
