LSU coach Will Wade held a press conference Monday to kick off the Basketball season ahead of Friday's first team practice.

Towards the end of the presser, Wade was answering questions about how well the football team has been playing under head coach Ed Orgeron this season and even said he "hopes (Joe Burrow) wins the Heisman."

Wade, who was in Nashville over the weekend for the Coaches Caravan, was able to see the Tigers 66-38 win over Vanderbilt in person...
quote:

"It was a great game," Wade said. "Coach O has them rolling."

"The thing I'm most impressed with, and I know very little about football, they have totally changed the offense, obviously, but how clean they run it is unbelievable. That is hard to do. To totally change your tempo, your operation, and how smoothly they run all that stuff is incredible."

"That a credit to Coach O, the quarterback, and the center. That's the most impressive thing to me as a coach, how they have changed and how fast they move. They don't have penalties, they don't have a lot of mistakes. It's just seamless."

"(Burrow) was jawing at the Vanderbilt players a little bit. You have to like that. Your team likes that. Kind of like Javonte (Smart) for us when he's out there in front of the defense and he gets going. Your team feeds off of that. Whether it's you point-guard or your quarterback, or whoever it may be..."

"...We got way off topic there. Hope he wins the Heisman."
Us too, Coach.
