The Tigers will travel to Starkville tonight to face the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Tip-off in Humphrey Coliseum is at 7pm CT. LSU (19-4, 7-1) enjoys a one-game lead in the SEC West over the Bulldogs (16-7, 6-2). The Tigers won the first game between the two teams, 81-57, in Baton Rouge back on January 21. A win tonight will give LSU a two-game lead in the SEC over Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi State, and South Carolina. LSU will face both Kentucky and Florida during the last week of February.

In LSU Football news, LSU assistant coach Josh Henson has joined the University of Missouri football coaching staff as its newest assistant coach, and will serve as co-offensive line coach, as announced yesterday by Mizzou Head Coach Gary Pinkel. Henson spent the last four years as tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator at LSU.

The Tigers start the season in the new Alex Box Stadium on February 20 against Villanova. First pitch is at 7pm CT.

According to an article in the Daily Reveille, the pitching rotation is set for the Villanova series. LSU senior Louis Coleman will get the start in the first game, with Anthony Ranaudo and Austin Ross starting the next two games.

In LSU Softball news, softball program will enter the next chapter of its storied history tonight when the new Tiger Park opens its gates for the inaugural season.

Located on Skip Bertman Drive across from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and adjacent to the LSU Women's Soccer Complex, the new Tiger Park features 1,289 seats, including 587 chair-back seats, and the capability of accommodating 1,200 more fans on the left field berm.

The Tigers will face McNeese St. in the new stadium at 6pm CT.
