Per LSUsports.net: Mississippi State designated hitter Cody Freeman’s bases-loaded single in the bottom of the ninth inning Friday night lifted the Bulldogs an 8-7 win over second-ranked LSU at Dudy Noble Field.

A win today for LSU (40-15) guarantees the Tigers at least a share of the SEC title. The Tigers can win the SEC title outright with a win and a loss by Ole Miss to Arkansas in Fayetteville. LSU and Ole Miss are tied in the SEC standings at 19-10.
In LSU Football news, Linebacker Shomari Clemons is no longer a member of the LSU Football team, according to the LSU Sports Information Department. Click here to discuss the news.
