James Smith with NOLA.com reports that LSU defensive tackle Travonte Valentine could be getting closer to finally playing for the Tigers...
quote:

A source familiar with the situation states that Valentine is in line academically, and as long as he stays the course off the field, he may just get his chance to get on it this fall.
Valentine was apart of the LSU 2014 recruiting class but has yet to play due to academic eligibly issues.

Head coach Les Miles announced that Travonte Valentine is currently suspended after LSU's Spring Game back on April 18th.

Once again we will have to wait and see how this one plays out.

File Valentine in the same category as the Secret Playbook.

This is a 'Big If' but if this kid keeps his head on straight, and stays in good shape under Coach Moffit's training regime, he will have an opportunity to become a big part of the DL and cause havoc on the football field. This kid is 'HUNGRY' to play some football now with attitude.

Geaux Tigers!

I'll believe it when I see it. NOT A SECOND BEFORE
