LSU senior quarterback Joe Burrow was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week and freshman kicker Cade York was named SEC Special Teams Player of the Week. Per SEC Sports:

Joe Burrow, QB, LSU


-Set career-highs for passing yards (471) and completions (31) in leading LSU to its first-ever road win over a Top 10 ranked non-conference opponent in the 45-38 victory over No. 9 Texas in Austin.

-Finished game 31-of-39 for 471 yards, 4 TDs and an interception ... His 471 passing yards ranks No. 2 in school history, his 479 total yards (471 pass, 8 rushing) ranks No. 2 in school history, and the 31 completions tie for the second-highest total in LSU history.

-The 45 points LSU scored against Texas was the most by the Tigers against a Top 10 opponent since a 48-7 win over No. 9 Virginia Tech in 2007 ... Extended his school-record streak of consecutive games with at least 20 completions to five straight.

-Beginning with LSU's first possession of the second quarter, seven of LSU's last eight possessions of game ended in points (5 TDs, 2 FGs).
LSU punted only twice during the game and racked up 573 total yards ... Is now 12-3 as LSU's starting quarterback.

SPECIAL TEAMS
Cade York, PK, LSU


-Remained perfect for the year as he connected on all three of his field goal attempts in the win over Texas.

-Kicked field goals of 36, 33, and 40 yards ... Made all four extra-points in the win.

-Is now 5-of-5 on field goals and 11-of-11 on extra-points for the season.

Cade York is going to mess around and become the all time LSU scorer. Him and Joe deserved these honors big time.

Joe had an incredible night, he really impressed me with that performance. Of course those guys that were catching those balls did a hell of a job, they made it look easy. Cade showed he can kick in a hostile environment and I think if needed he could come in and get the points with a last second kick, like at Auburn last year. I'm glad both won SEC players of the week awards, they deserved it.
