Sources are reporting that sophomore defensive back Dwayne Thomas will miss the rest of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. Lawrence Barreca with the Advocate first reported the news on Monday:

Thomas was injured during the second quarter of LSU’s 63-7 win over New Mexico State. Coach Les Miles on Monday would not reveal details of Thomas’ injury or his status.

While blitzing the quarterback, Thomas made a cutback and his knee twisted. He had to be helped off of the field and needed crutches to get into the locker room.
