Sam Leavitt Explains What Stands Out About Lane Kiffin And LSU’s Staff

LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt has enjoyed what he’s seen from Lane Kiffin and the Tigers’ coaching staff since arriving in Baton Rouge.

During a recent interview, Leavitt was asked about Kiffin and what has stood out to him about LSU’s new head coach and staff.

“Everyone knows he’s really forward-thinking, but I think the coolest thing about him and just everybody else upstairs is just the camaraderie from the coaching staff perspective,” he said. “Like, they really do feel like a family. They enjoy spending time with each other, you know, running around on the field, competing and everything, playing pickleball.”

According to Leavitt, that chemistry among the coaching staff has carried over to the players and helped bring the team together.

“The whole team’s been vibing and playing as a collective group and unit, and that only happens because of the way that everything’s up is upstairs,” Leavitt said. “It goes into all the position rooms, and when we’re sitting in here for unit and team meetings, just the way that coaches are able to call in other coaches, and they understand exactly what they’re going to get out of each other.”
