LSU preferred walk-on punter Bailey Raborn from St. Thomas More High School was arrested in his hometown of Lafayette on Sunday for operating a vehicle while impaired, according to The Advocate:
quote:

Raborn posted bond $1,000 bond. The arrest affidavit was not immediately available.

Coach Les Miles is "aware of the situation and is trying to gather information before making any comment," school spokesman Michael Bonnette said Monday.
Raborn, a one-time UCLA commit, chose to walk-on at LSU in January, spurning scholarship offers from Mississippi State, Northwestern State, and the Bruins.

Ye without sin, cast the first stone. I did a lot of dumb things as a young man. First, in our great country, you are innocent until proven guilty (or if your lawyers can get you off to be perfectly honest). Second, everyone deserves a second chance as long as they did not take someone's life (in my humble opinion).

You know it's the dog days of summer when a walk-on punter gets a front page article on TD.

Too bad it didn't happen in West Monroe. It appears that football players are not held responsible for legal transgressions there.
