LSU senior tight end Colin Jeter was named Wuerffel Trophy watch list on Wednesday, awarded to the player that best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement.

Jeter, a native of Longview, Texas, played one season at Kilgore College before transferring to LSU in the summer of 2014. He finished the 2015 season with 12 catches for 132 yards and one touchdown.

Seems to be a good young man. My sons are aspiring to go the Air Force Academy but if God forbid my wife or I were to get cancer, I could not blame them for come back home. I would insist they continue the path they chose and fulfill their dreams but no way would I interfere with their wanting to come back for their mother. USAF Vet

Does he remind anyone of Richard Dickson, one of our most productive TEs in history? The tall, rangy type who can both catch and block.
