Update: The game has been moved to Tiger Stadium.

Original: There has been much discussion this week as to whether or not South Carolina's home game this Saturday against LSU will need to be moved as a result of severe flooding in the region.

The first option for South Carolina would be to keep the game on campus at William-Brice Stadium. The second option would be to move the game to another nearby city like Charlotte, Atlanta, or even Jacksonville.

The final option is for LSU to host the game at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge.

LSU spokesperson Michael Bonnette confirmed Tuesday that Tiger Stadum is ready if they need to use it. Per The Advocate:

Tiger Stadium gameday workers have been contacted to gauge their availability for Saturday.

“If we’re asked to host this game in the next 24 hours, it’s something we can certainly do,” LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette said Tuesday on WWL radio in New Orleans. “It’s not going to be easy by any means. Our stadium is ready. We’re in that in-season mode. It can be done.”

Charlotte would be great! I wonder what happens if the venue is moved as in how the tickets for Williams-Brice stadium are handled?

And what about people who bought airline tickets along with their away game tickets? How do they plan to handle their loss on that part?

It's flooding and people are being evacuated in SC, but we have people here worried about their airline tickets and hotel reservations not being credited back. Call 1-800-(MotherNature). Maybe they can help you or next time buy trip protection. Pay with an American Express or fly on Delta. Delta gives me vouchers anytime I can't make a trip. No questions asked. Next time check what cancellation policy is at a hotel before booking. If you booked a room at a hotel that has a 48 hour cancellation policy then they should be okay. If they didn't then hotel has every right to collect money for the first night stay.
