LSU junior safety Major Burns re-injured his ankle in practice and has been shut down for the rest of spring, head coach Brian Kelly revealed on Tuesday.
Kelly spoke with reporters after Tuesday's practice and talked about Burns and defensive back Greg Brooks, who is dealing with a sprained ankle.
While Burns is shut down for the rest of spring, Brooks could return this weekend, Kelly said.
Burns is expected to be ready to go for fall camp.
