LSU athletic director Joe Alleva, Les Miles and Ed Orgeron met with the team on Sunday to inform the players that Miles would no longer be their head coach and that Orgeron would replace him as interim head coach for the rest of the season.

A few players were made available to media after the meeting, including Leonard Fournette, Jamal Adams, Ethan Pocic and Travin Dural.

Surprise but not shocking. It was time, bottom line his teams have been just above average, middle of the SEC pack since the DISASTER in the NC game 2012. I think we're all tired of playing 2nd fiddle to the gumps.

I agree with everything you said, Miles had run his course at LSU but the timing is just a bit strange to me (to oull it mildly). If two close road L's were all the slack he had then there was no reason to bring him back this year! All I can say is that Alleva & company better hit a monster home run hire or there gonna watch as LSU falls into a coaching quagmire like Tenn, Florida, USC ect. and we've all seen what that can do to a program that seems "too big to fail". Oh and as far as losing tp Bama, I really, really hate to say it but we need to gwt used to the way that stings cause I just dont see how anyone steps in as a HC and can immediately commence to beating the GOAT, so im sad to say 5 in a row may end up like Tenn vs Fla and become 11 or 12 in a row.
