LSU senior linebacker Michael Divinity Jr. has accepted an invitation to play in the 2020 East-West Shrine Bowl.

Divinty has played in just five game this season, recording 23 tackles, four sacks and three tackles for loss. He will join wide receiver Derrick Dillon who has already accpeted his invite to the all-star game.

The senior from Marrero, La, has been held out of seven games this season due to a "coach's decision" and missed the Alabama and Ole Miss games while he was away from the team for "personal reasons."

The East-West Shrine Bowl, which date back to 1925, will be played on Jan. 18 in St. Petersburg, Florida at 2 p.m. CST on the NFL Network.
