The LSU coaching staff has been working hard over the past month to build up the class of 2017 but freshman linebacker Devin White doesn't want anyone to forget about the class of 2016...

LSU's 2016 recruiting class was ranked No. 3 by ESPN and 247Sports.

I know people are suggesting he plays a little RB, which is completely warranted. I think he should stay exclusively LB tho. Learn the position that will get you to the league because LB is your primary position. That and the fact that your a LB that runs like a gazzel, your a QB and OC's worst nightmare. A hammer in the run game and can run with WRs, TEs, and RBs. That's scares me just posting it. That's bananas!

He's definitely right. It's very easy to get caught up in the new class. We all like shiny new toys and tend to over look the great ones we have yet to unwrap from last Christmas!

R. Thornton is overlooked IMO. Seems some of us think that we have nobody to step in after Key. Not to mention Patterson, Washington, and Anthony.

I'm with you on all of the above. Thornton definitely has star potential!

He's right! We saw him get down as a true freshman. We still got Micheal Divinity too! I'm expecting great things from our LBs from 2016!

Devin is going to be a monster. I'd like to see him get a few redzone carries on O. That speed at 255? Forget about it.

We will have a monster running back smacker 250lb MLB that runs a 4.5 40yd and a 225lb ILB that can play between the tackles and find the ball carrier, then drop back into coverage and keep up with WRs, not to mention stevens at safety who has the hands of a receiver that can play up at the line as an extra linebacker, Aranda will use these guys like heat seeking missiles

Thank you Devin for bringing that up. You are going to be a beast this year at Lb or Rb if necessary. Any one can see the star potential in this guy. And the rest of the class is strong as well. Add in the upperclassmen and the incoming class, and I can't wait! Oh yeah, and a new coaching staff with a versatile offense and a modern approach! Is it September yet?
