According to documents obtained by The Advocate, LSU is asking a Texas court to dismiss the lawsuit filled against them by Texas A&M and also took a shot at the Aggies defense in the process:
quote:

“The only fact implicating Texas (in the suit) is that Chavis happened to defect to Texas A&M and chose to begin working for A&M before his service to LSU was complete,” the new filing says. “Notwithstanding the Aggies dire need for defensive help, Chavis could have defected to a college or professional team in any state, or even in a foreign country.”
Both Chavis and LSU filed lawsuits regarding his $400,000 buyout for breaching his contract by leaving early.

A mocking, frivolous filing, and they expect to be taken seriously? He was no apostate defector. When Miles was asked on Dec 22 in a press conference about Chief leaving for A&M he said "I have no real feelings there. They are a group of talented men with opportunities" we are the 5th most valuable team "with the highest paid staff" and thats how we win. LINK /
