LSU announced special events dates for the 2017 season on Wednesday, including the Homecoming game which will be played on September 30 vs. Troy. Per LSUSports.net:

The Troy contest will also serve as the “Purple Game” for the Tigers as LSU will wear its purple jerseys for the game against the Trojans. As part of the “Purple Game” festivities, fans will be asked to wear purple. Other game day promotions for the Troy game are still being planned.
Here are some other important dates for the 2017 season:

Apr. 22: National L Club Spring Game
Sept. 2 vs. BYU (in Houston, TX): Season Opener
Sept. 9 vs. Chattanooga: Home Opener
Sept. 23 vs. Syracuse: Athletic Hall of Fame
Sept. 30 vs. Troy: Homecoming
Oct. 14 vs. Auburn: Gold Game
Nov. 11 vs. Arkansas: LSU Salutes
Nov. 25 vs. Texas A&M: Senior Tribute
