You can’t ask more from a former coach that got fired. The guy genuinely loves LSU, and say what you want about his coaching, but he was a good man to lead those kids.

One of the greatest Tigers, remember watching his as a freshman on the kickoff team. Was in on most of the tackles, could have played LB also. A Jim Taylor type RB, never hurt, nose for the FD marker and would truck if he had to.

I don't think I have ever seen a single player leave it all on the field like Hester did on that drive.

Then he just laid down in the EZ like an exhausted warrior and soaked it all in for a few more minutes before rising to a raucous stadium. Gotta love it... that dude will NEVER have to buy his own drinks in BR.

Tony Moss vs either Auburn or SC in the late 80s is the only other I can remember like that. Hester's performance is legendary

Hester was the bester! He looked 30 years old in that clip, though. LOL!

My personal favorite game that I’ve been to without a doubt.

I saw the '59 Halloween game vs Ol Miss. That and the '07 FL game are almost inseparable in my mind as fantastic experiences. Loved Hester and Cannon

"infamous 2007 game" - I don't think that word means what you think it means.
