LSU senior running back Kenny Hilliard was named the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the season opener against Wisconsin on Saturday.

Rushed for 110 yards and a TD to lead LSU past Wisconsin, 28-24, in the season opener … Ignited a second half rally that saw LSU overcome a 24-7 deficit to record one of the biggest comeback wins in school history … 99 of his 110 yards came in the second half as LSU recorded one of the biggest comeback wins in school history … Had 93 yards in the fourth quarter … Scored game-winning points on a 28-yard TD run with 9:41 left in the contest, putting LSU up … Averaged 6.1 yards on 18 carries … Also caught 2 passes for 22 yards … Fourth 100-yard game of career, first since week 3 of 2012 season.
ULM junior safety Mitch lane was named defensive player of the week and Louisiana-Lafayette senior punter was named special teams player of the week.
