Jayden Daniels Named SEC Player Of The Week, Again

LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels was named Co-SEC Player of the Week on Monday after his eight-touchdown performance vs. Georgia State.

This is Daniels' fifth time winning SEC Player of the Week this season.

He shared the honor with Missouri quarterback Brady Cook. Per SEC Sports:

-Tied the LSU record for TDs responsible for in a game with 8 (6 pass, 2 rush) in 56-14 win over Georgia State ... Tied the mark previously set by Joe Burrow vs. Oklahoma in 2019 CFP Semifinal game.

Had more TD passes than incompletions as he went 25-of-30 for 413 yards ... Added 96 rushing yards on 10 carries.

Had his second consecutive game of 500+ yards of total offense, and the third in 2023 ...
-LSU scored TDs on all 8 offensive possessions and didn't punt for the third game this year.

-LSU racked up 582 total yards (413 passing, 169 rushing) and was faced with only 6 third-down opportunities (converted 5). Went over the 1,000-yard mark for rushing yards with his season total standing at 1,014.

-Accounted for 6 plays of 20+ yards, including TD passes of 70, 40 and 27 yards.

There is definite media bias when it comes to voting for either team polls or player polls( since team polls don’t matter as much anymore- Heisman etc is all they got ). A liberal leftist university out west with new pretty shiny uniforms every week , a undefeated team but albeit with a pitifully weak schedule, an average team QB in Nix makes them swoon.
