Former LSU wide receiver and Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase was named NFL Rookie of the Week on Thursday. Per


Chase was rewarded for his performance in Week 5 against the Green Bay Packers where he made six catches for 159 yards, highlighted by a 70-yard touchdown.

Chase and quarterback Joe Burrow haven't missed a beat in 2021 connecting for 456 yards and five touchdowns through five weeks. Chase is the third rookie since at least 1990 with at least five receptions in his team's first five games, joining Randy Moss (1998) and Calvin Ridley (2018).
