Talented LSU offensive lineman Ethan Pocic was named to the Rimington Trophy watch list on Wednesday. The award is presented annually to the top center in Division I football.

Pocic, who started all 12 games at center as a junior last season, is one of 61 players on the fall watch list. Per LSUSports.net:

Pocic finished the 2015 season with a team-best 132.5 knockdown blocks, the highest total by an LSU offensive lineman since at least 2010, and he played a total of 796 snaps, second-most on the team.

Pocic earned Southeastern Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week twice in 2015 with great performances at Mississippi State and against South Carolina.

A Second-Team All-SEC selection a year ago, Pocic tallied double-digit knockdowns in six games, including a career-high 18 at Ole Miss.
