Ed Orgeron appeared on 104.5 ESPN's "Off the Bench" Tuesday morning an offered up high praise for LSU safeties coach Bill Busch who has been a key recruiter for the Tigers over the past few years, especially with graduate transfers.

Busch joined LSU's coaching staff in 2016 and was instrumental in landing Joe Burrow from Ohio State and North Dakota State grad transfer linebacker Jabril Cox who committed to the Tigers last week.

Orgeron couldn't officially comment on Cox but hinted that Busch knocked it out the park "again."
quote:

"Well, first of all... it's LSU," Orgeron said.

"Second of all, we have some coaches that are very well-versed in recruiting. They can branch out all over the country. One of the coaches that has been really instrumental has been Bill Busch. Bill has done a great job of recruiting, especially the graduate transfers for us. And he's done it again."
Orgeron also added that Bo Pelini's arrival this offseason has also helped in recruiting.
quote:

"You always see the impact of a great coach," Orgeron said.

"Bo Pelini is here now. He's been with us a month or so and you can see the difference he's making. Guys want to come to play for him."

I’m surprised Busch stayed when Aranda left. He needs a raise

Yeah I thought he’d go and be Aranda’s DC, or at least DB coach with some added title for more money
