LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda will make $2.5 million through the 2021 season after signing a new deal with the Tigers this offseason. Per NOLA.com:
quote:

Aranda's deal will pay him $2.5 million through the 2021 season and the increase comes solely in Aranda's supplemental media compensation. His base salary remains $500,000 while the compensation increases to $2 million.

Aranda's contract calls for him to pay LSU 40 percent of the remaining money on the deal if he takes a defensive coordinator position within 500 miles of LSU and 15 percent of the remaining money if he takes a similar position 500 miles from LSU.

There is no penalty at all if Aranda takes a college head coaching position or if he takes any position in the NFL.
Here are the other details of LSU's offseason coaching changes:

New LSU offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger will be paid an annual salary of $800,000 through 2020 with an opportunity to make up to $150,000 in incentives.

Former OC Matt Canada was making $1.5 million per season and will be paid a $1.7 million payment as a "separation agreement."

New offensive line coach James Cregg will make $475,000 annually through March 2020.

New passing game coordinator Jerry Sullivan was given a one-year deal worth $450,000 that will end on Jan. 31, 2019.

New special team coordinator Greg McMahon will make $375,000 annually through March 2020.

So tired of these fly by night tiger fans. When a big name isn’t hired they freak out like chicken little. Granted this is a rebuilding year and an extremely tough sch but I still see 8-10 wins. People forget how bad we were before nick satan. Spoils young tiger fans. Stick around, we are going to shake back. Good foundation and two great recruiting classes.

This post is horrible in so many ways. This coming year is a rebuilding year? We just went 9-4 with the easiest schedule we had in over 10 years. The fans should be ok with whatever record we have next year because we were bad in the 90s? Wtf

"Rebuilding year?" Why is it that we all of a sudden have "rebuilding years" once O is in charge?

lmao rebuilding year huh? What was this past season with the weakest SEC in how long? Already making excuses for the good ole boy because you know he's not capable of getting it done huh? As long as he's one of us though let's keep on going.

First thing comes.to.mind is damn Raymond is getting hosed. Alleva has killed the football program with such wasteful spending. Why couldn't we get Adam Henry again.. ok

Good god Ensminger robbed this program. Another thief just like Coach O. No wonder their buddies. Can't wait to see that 120th ranked offense next year.

They’re* Sounds like you’re the one who got robbed of an elementary education. Before calling him a thief, let’s give him a chance. We have no other choice.

Idiots like you are ridiculous. If you aren't too stupid to remember with Ensminger filling in in 2016 put up some dang good numbers with a mediocre OB at best. So just shut up idiot.

Yea great numbers. 10 points on a 2 touchdown underdog Florida team and a whopping 0 points again at Bama.
