Lane Kiffin officially added 11 new coaches to his staff at LSU on Monday, including Ole Miss running backs coach Kevin Smith.

Smith will have the same role at LSU and also hold the title of Associate Head Coach. He will replace Frank Wilson, who is headed to Ole Miss after LSU's Bowl game on Dec. 27th.

Smith was Lane Kiffin's running back coach for the last three seasons at Ole Miss and at FAU from 2017 to 2019.

Ole Miss led the SEC in rushing touchdowns (36) this past season with the help of All-America running back Kewan Lacy, who has rushed for 1,366 yards and 21 touchdowns.

Smith played running back at UCF and was a third-round pick by the Detroit Lions in 2008 NFL Draft. He played five seasons with Detroit and then began his coaching career in 2015.

A real running back coach with college and pro playing experience, plus a great track record of coaching and developing college RBs.
Excited for the future.
