LSU extended a scholarship offer to four-star weak-side defensive end John Waggoner from West Des Moines, IA on Wednesday.

The 6-5, 230-pound prospect from Dowling Catholic is rated the No. 6 weak-side defensive end in the country and the No. 1 overall player from the state of Iowa for the class of 2018. He holds offers from schools like Iowa, Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida, and others.
